Saving power means saving money.
Power factor correction capacitors are the simplest, most economical way to correct power factor and save on demand charges.
At Saber, our custom-engineered Power Capacitor Banks deliver reliable, efficient reactive power compensation for industrial, commercial, utility, and transmission & distribution systems. Designed to optimize power factor, reduce energy costs, minimize voltage drops, and enhance overall system performance, these solutions are the simplest and most cost-effective way to support inductive loads.
Through our wholly-owned subsidiary inoLECT, we offer proven, industry-leading capacitor bank technologies deployed successfully across diverse sectors, including:
- Wind and renewables
- Mining
- Pulp and paper
- Chemical and petrochemical
- Petroleum
- Transmission and distribution utilities
Flexible Configurations to Meet Your Needs:
We provide a full range of application-specific designs:
- Metal-Enclosed (600 V to 38 kV) – Ideal for indoor/outdoor substations with integrated switching, protection, and control.
- Stacked-Rack (up to 230 kV) – High-capacity solutions for large-scale installations.
- Pole-Mounted (1000 V to 38 kV) – Compact, weather-resistant options for distribution systems.
Available as fixed or automatically switched (with single or multi-stage control) to match varying load demands.
Harmonic Filter Banks: Advanced Mitigation for Harmonic Distortion and Resonance
In systems with non-linear loads—such as variable frequency drives (VFDs), inverters, rectifiers, or other modern equipment—harmonic currents can cause distortion, overheating, equipment malfunction, and dangerous parallel resonance when combined with standard capacitor banks.
inoLECT’s custom-engineered Harmonic Filter Banks provide targeted mitigation while delivering power factor correction, VAR/voltage support, and overall power quality improvement. These solutions prevent harmonic amplification, ensure compliance with standards like IEEE 519, and protect your infrastructure from distortion-related issues.
Key Features and Configurations:
- Tuned filter types: Notch (Band-Pass), High-Pass, C-High-Pass (damped), Double-Tuned, Multi-Tuned
- Voltages: 2.4 kV to 38 kV (medium-voltage focus)
- Metal-Enclosed, Stacked-Rack, or Pole-Mounted options
- Fixed or automatically switched (single or multi-stage)
- Fully integrated protection, switching, control, grounding, and disconnect features
Harmonic Filter Banks are ideal for environments with high harmonic content, offering benefits like reduced losses, extended equipment life, improved system stability, and avoidance of resonance conditions.
Fully Integrated Turnkey Solutions:
All our capacitor and harmonic filter banks arrive pre-assembled, factory-tested, and ready for seamless integration in indoor or outdoor substations. Saber handles the complete lifecycle:
- On-site power system audits, harmonic surveys, and data collection
- Expert engineering analysis (including harmonic load flow, resonance studies, and IEEE 519 compliance)
- Custom design and precision manufacturing
- Professional installation and commissioning
- Ongoing maintenance, operator training, and 24/7 support
Backed by Saber’s engineering-led approach, NETA-accredited field services, and inoLECT’s specialized power quality expertise, we ensure safety, reliability, and long-term performance for your electrical infrastructure.

Metal-Enclosed Capacitor Banks:
Metal-enclosed power capacitor banks are custom configured to meet a wide variety of requirements, including switching, disconnecting, grounding, protection, control, and convenient external capacitor bank connections. They can be furnished with integrated control power and protection systems that can be located in an isolated compartment integral with the capacitor bank enclosure, or they be located remotely in an E-house or control room.

Pole-Mounted Capacitor Banks:
Pole-mounted capacitor bank solutions can be customized according to your specific needs. These components are highly-dependable, and easy to install. Our bank packages offer overall system improvements including improved power factor, system capacity release, loss reduction, voltage stability, improved power flow and cost savings.

Stacked-Rack Capacitor Banks:
Stacked-Rack Capacitor Banks are most applicable where large blocks of three-phase reactive power are required. Capacitors and auxiliary equipment are installed in welded aluminum racks. Racks are shipped ready for field installation including base and inter-rack insulators, substructures, interconnecting bus wire and other specified accessories for a complete three-phase system.
